Kale-Watkins Performance Horses

Keeping our horses feeling and performing their best takes more than great training—it takes great recovery, too. Watkins Performance horses is busy training hard to get Jessica Watkins and Striker Chic Shine ready for The Run for a Million run in Vegas.

I’m thankful to have EquiChill Recovery as part of our team’s recovery program. Cryotherapy helps support recovery after training and competition, so our horses can stay comfortable, recover well, and continue performing at their highest level.

A huge thank you to EquiChill Recovery and Julie Savage for investing in the health and well-being of our equine athletes. Your support means so much, and we’re grateful to have you on our team!

Had a blast at the IRHA Blackhawk classic Reining show. We had some big wins as a group this show and also found some things to work on, which is what horse showing is all about.

HUGE congrats to Kendra Manwaring scoring her first 70 in the show pen in the Green Reiner 1, Green Reiner 2 and Greener than Grass class. She also had a few awesome other personal best runs on All Dun Gamblin. 🏅🏅🏅

Collett Watkins very first time in the show pen with her 4 year old mare….this team is gonna be one to watch. 67 is a number to be proud of in the Greener than Grass, Green Reiner Lev 1 and Green Reiner Lev 2 on MS Electric Crome!! 🏅🏅

Johnni Wright personal best of 68.5 in Greener than Grass AND the Youth 14-18 on Shesa Shining Desire (first year showing by the way) 🏅🏅

Lacey Savage personal best of 68.5 in Greener than Grass and a 67.5 in the Youth 14-18 (first year showing by the way) 🏅🏅on A Steady Dream

Julie Prows coming back hot in the game getting a 70 after a few years break from reining on Mi Scootin Whiz🏅🏅🏅

Kase Watkins getting his first score EVER! 65.5 on A Steady Dream

Joy Eddards making some major improvements showing us some of her biggest stops and her horse scoring a 70 in the Rookie Professional class.

And of course Jess Watkins laying down a 71.5 in the Rookie lev 2 and a 73 in the non pro on Striker Chic Shine after his long haul to Oklahoma and back. 🏅🏅

On to the prep for the next one, thanks to all my clients and their support of me, my program, each other, and their families. This dream wouldn’t be possible without them.

We had a great time at the Best Little Derby on Gypsy aka Wimpys Little Shine. This three year old is coming along fantastic and she is one fancy stopper! We figured out some of the kinks to work out but u could not be happier with this mare. Huge thank you to Equine Oasis for keeping me outfitted, I even had to snag some tape before one of my runs cause a boot was coming off and this saddle definitely helps get a deep seat so these young horses can really feel. We always look forward to any show that Tim is at so we can get more supplies.
