It is unfair that I get to speak about the benefits of cannabis use for chronic pain and CPTSD, disordered eating and more while our neighbors continue to pay the price of discrimination and government propaganda.

Kevin Harden is serving a 30-year federal sentence for a nonviolent ma*****na offense, while cannabis is now legal and generating billions in revenue across much of the country.

After more than a decade behind bars, Kevin is also facing serious, life-threatening health complications. His family is asking for compassion, clemency, and the opportunity for him to come home.

Every signature helps show that people believe Kevin deserves a second chance.

VA disability isn't a hand out. It's a settlement between an employer and an employee for damages incurred during contract.

Contracts go both ways. We signed our rights to the government to do the job we were contracted to do with the understanding the government would uphold their end.

Many servicemembers automatically qualify for 10-30% disability because we know from SCIENCE that the act of performing military service is measurably impactful on the physical and psychological bodies from day one.

Because our government has decades of scientific research understanding the harms of separating families (a category of genocide), the harms of carrying and managing weight and impact beyond the reasonable limits of human capacity. And it is never a matter of if, but WHEN disability will impact your quality of life.

The government knows this, and so they give up that 30% without a fight, because it's obvious. But that isn't because that's just how the US DOD works.

That's how *socialism* works.

Some say that Section 108 “isn’t ideal, but it’s the only way” to get veterans’ legislation passed this Congress. Reducing VA disability because the opportunity is presented isn’t compromise. It’s bad policy. Congress can—and must—do better.
