This Sunday was special for many people, but especially for Mary. We were able to take her back to a place that truly feels like home, Maple Grove Church. Mary served as a day care teacher there up until she retired at 93 years old, along with teaching Sunday school and sharing her wisdom with many. In the past year Mary's condition has restricted her from being able to attend church services, especially missing the last Sundays of the month when they have a potluck. This past Sunday she was able to reconnect with many of her best friends, attend Sunday school, church service, and the potluck. The smile on her face every time one of her friends ran up to give her a hug was priceless.

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

At Sanders Ridge, we are especially grateful for the veterans, military families, and heroes whose courage and service helped shape the freedoms we enjoy today. ❤️🤍💙

As we gather with family and friends this holiday weekend, may we take a moment to reflect on the true meaning of Memorial Day and remember those who gave everything in service to our nation.
