CARDIAC REHAB IS EVOLVING — AND IT’S ABOUT TIME.

What if patients didn’t have to choose between
👉 getting care
👉 and living their life?

This study shows:
💻 Hybrid cardiac rehab (clinic + virtual) =
✔ Same attendance
✔ Same fitness gains
✔ Same health improvements

🔥 That’s HUGE for older adults who struggle with access.

💡 If you’re a CEP or student:
This is exactly why staying connected to the research matters.

CEPA membership =
📚 Access to JCEP
🧠 Real clinical evidence
🚀 A way to grow in the field

🫀 Exercise is medicine…
But only if patients can actually access it.

Good morning and Happy New Year!

As a Clinical Exercise Physiology program, we are actively involved in the Clinical Exercise Physiology Association and are a speaker sponsor for the upcoming online conference. We have been asked to reach out to BSU CEP alumni to share more on this year's CEPA conference that will take place in just a few weeks. Please note that we will also be sending an email this week or next to our alumni with this information as well. We know that some email addresses may be outdated, so we wanted to share the information here too. If you have updated contact information and choose to keep in touch with us, please message us back on here privately or email [email protected] and we will get this changed in our database. Thank you!

"The 2026 Clinical Exercise Physiology Association (CEPA) Annual Online Conference is open for registration, and will take place on Saturday, February 7th. This conference is CEPA’s premiere continuing education event and our most affordable way to obtain 5 CECs.

The conference brings together internationally renowned experts representing a wide variety of fields within clinical exercise physiology to share innovative research findings and best practices when working with diverse patient populations. Presentations and ePosters will range from AI and technology in exercise prescriptions, to managing peripheral artery disease, to working with cancer survivors, to effects of exercise in patients with congenital heart disease, among many other important topics.

The 2026 conference will also feature breakout rooms for interactive panel presentations focusing on virtual cardiac rehabilitation, resistance training in elderly patients with frailty, and programmatic accreditation. These breakout rooms will allow attendees to learn from experts in these areas and build their professional networks with recognized leaders in the field.

Marketing/sponsorship opportunities during the conference are available to showcase academic programs or businesses. Individuals who are interested should contact [email protected] to learn more about the advertising opportunities.

We look forward to seeing you on February 7th at the 2026 CEPA Annual Online Conference,

Yesterday we took a field trip to the simulation center in the Health Professions Building for class! This group of six did an excellent job assessing the patient, providing high quality care, and reassuring him. We look forward to our next visit! 👌👌
