There is a common misconception in mental health that if you struggle with depression/anxiety/etc., that makes you “weak”.

In reality, it’s estimated a little under a quarter of the US population has experienced (reported) mental health concerns! You are not alone. Reaching out for support is actually one of the strongest things you can do.

This world is already a hard world — allow yourself to heal and become the healthiest and best version of you. ✨

Happy Mental Health (Mother’s Day) Monday!

Did you know that mental health concerns are one of the MOST COMMON complications of pregnancy AND birth?

According to MMHLA, 1 in 5 mothers struggle with mental health — that’s about 800,000 families in the U.S.!!
Only 25% of those women will receive mental health treatment (this can be due to lack of access to care, minimal education on services, domestic violence, stigma, etc.)!

Just like doctors have specialties, Therapists do too! Perinatal Therapists specialize in mental health care for individuals during the perinatal period — aka conception to 1-2 years post partum!
