Epic Bow Outs Our experiences in hospitality are ALL fundamental and extremely valuable. Yet we know deep down that health and wealth are rarely a part of those experiences.

I specialize and enjoy helping burned out 'EPICureans' to find a way out of the hospitality hamster wheel by teaching tangible wealth; striving for - and compounding the - achievement of a new level of personal freedom in your life. I believe that the only way for us to be financially free is by becoming an entrepreneur at heart. Letting go of being an employee is one of the hardest things to do.

Making the switch from having a guaranteed income to replacing it with fruits of labor from being self employed, can be a rocky road, yet it does not have to be. It all starts with a decision. Ask me about my journey, I am happy to share my thoughts.

I am super grateful for my mentors today.
For some reason, I woke up with a massive amount of gratitude on my mind.
Looking back at where I am coming from and where I am today, the lessons I learned, and the progress I made.
Taking the giant leap from employment into entrepreneurship, making it over the hurdles that had me thinking about going back into the comfort of the paycheck on autopilot.
Yet keeping up with becoming comfortable with being uncomfortable, the fact that all of a sudden I had to earn every dollar that I so easily spend beforehand for my daily necessities.
Thank you for being there for me when I needed the advice and motivation to keep going.

I believe that our successes are defined by our internal identity thermostat setting.

It regulates our actions and our results.
(fitness identity, wealth identity, health identity)

Unconsciously we always find a way to get back to the point, where our thermostat is set to what we think we're worth.

let's take responsibility and set our thermostat to 200 degrees for good.

Ed Mylett speaks about it in great detail in his book "the power of one more" and I am hooked for sure. It's my daily motivation to do and be better continuously.

What am I called to do in this world? Or, what is my purpose in life?

After working for the man for almost 3 decades, I came to realize that it is not employment. I always had a thing for hospitality - making others feel happy, appreciated, and welcome.

At the age of thirteen, I got my first job as a paper boy, outside of working on the farm and restaurant owned by my family. Every morning before school and on Saturdays, I had 53 newspapers to distribute. Additionally, I had to handle the publisher's monthly collections, so I went door-to-door each month to collect the subscription fees.

It taught me self-control and that if you want to advance in life, you must make sacrifices.

Once I realized that if I provide my workforce in the right place, I can make money to live on my own terms, I just kept going.

I mowed lawns, cleaned cars, and painted homes. I actually made pretty good money at a young age, and I was amazingly great at spending it faster than I earned it. I just wanted to live life to the fullest. Adventures await after all. And with that in mind, I could not wait to leave home and live by myself.

Hospitalty - my drug, my lover, my gateway to freedom - gave me exactly that. Through an apprenticeship in one of the best hotels in my home county in Germany, I lived in a boarding house with a bunch of other apprentices.

Back then my meaning of life was to run after bunnies and get drunk as often as possible. Little did I know that it all shaped and formed what I was supposed to do all along. I just wish I would have realized it earlier.

I needed to get out there, and I grabbed every opportunity that offered itself by the neck and I jumped right in.

Since there was no turning back and I had to work every weekend, holiday, and birthday going forward, I thought I should at least do it in style. Try to see as many places as you can, and consider working in tourist destinations.

..Looking back today I am humbled by all my learnings, The pleasure of having met so many people through hospitality, and the professionals I was able to work alongside. I believe that my story, my experiences in life, and my journey can be of value to others.
Hence I decided to use my skills to help others achieve the freedom of entrepreneurship.

I am so happy and grateful for all my mentors that have helped to shape my successes in life.

Looking back at how and when I started, ignites me with a feeling of equanimity and certainty, a feeling that everything will be ok.

I think it is important to not lose track of where we come from and the successes that we accomplished along the way, no matter how small they might be.

It's a matter of perception after all. I unintentionally strive for the better and am never really satisfied with an outcome.

Therefore it is so important to take inventory of our successes and milestones.

Doing so regularly keeps us going in the right direction and potentially changing course if we see fit.

It's almost funny how I managed to come so close to failure in past endeavors and yet always made it through and succeeded.

Becoming an entrepreneur and leaving employment was one of those. Today I can say: "I will never go back!"

In the next few days, I want to share with you my timeline and where I come from. For the first time, I have a feeling that I need to share this.

From a provincial town in Germany with less than 500 people heading westbound across the Atlantic to the Caribbean, then New York and Florida, driven by the hospitality hamster wheel.

Ultimately it's what lead me to self-employment and total freedom.

Being a father and having my standards in place, I struggle at times to keep my equanimity, yet we all know that this is where the rubber meets the road, and success is determined. Sometimes just taking a deep breath, sorting my thoughts, and doing a positive affirmation is all it takes to let it go.
