Today, OnSpot is proud to be partnering with the City of Tampa to provide accessible dermatology care and skin cancer screenings for city employees and the men and women of the Tampa Police Department.

These individuals spend countless hours outdoors protecting and serving our communities, yet busy schedules often make it difficult to prioritize their own healthcare. Bringing dermatology care directly to their workplace makes skin exams more convenient, accessible, and achievable.

Early detection matters, and we’re grateful to help make preventive care easier for those who do so much for our community.

Teaching kids daily sun-safe habits early helps protect their skin for life. Simple steps like:
Applying broad-spectrum SPF every morning
Wearing wide-brimmed hats and protective clothing
Seeking shade during peak UV hours
Reapplying sunscreen every 2 hours outdoors

These small habits become lifelong routines that can help reduce the risk of skin damage and skin cancer later on.

With more than 60 lifestyle directors from local communities attending, it was an incredible opportunity to connect, build relationships, and introduce services that can make a real difference for residents.

A simple skin exam made a big difference for this 50-year-old patient who has spent his entire career working outdoors.

During his visit, a suspicious spot was biopsied and came back as an early basal cell skin cancer. Because it was caught EARLY, treatment is simple — just a scrape procedure, no Mohs surgery needed.

This is exactly why regular skin exams matter. Skin cancer often starts small and painless, making it easy to ignore until it becomes more serious. Early detection can mean less invasive treatment, less scarring, and better outcomes.
