Practitioner appreciation post. š«¶
One thing Iām prioritizing while in NoVA is getting right with my body/health/expanding my internal capacity for all the external things I want to make room for and call into my life.
I have seen both Dr. Amaya of Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy I Sterling, VA (who I sadly donāt have a picture of yet⦠but just wait š«¶ lol) and Dr. Alexandra ThaĆs, DC of Connect First Family Chiropractic just a couple times so far and I am already feeling like Iām in a different body.
Their care and treatment are unlike any bodywork/health practice Iāve experienced before and if you know me, you know Iām big on women supporting women⦠I really canāt say enough good things about these amazing women and how smart and caring they are.
If youāre in NoVA and want to improve your posture, core, pelvic floor, nervous system capacity, burnout, ADHD, or countless other things theyāre able to support you with⦠definitely check them out.
One thing that really stood out in my session with Dr. Alexandra was when she practiced with me and I couldnāt help but laugh when she came across a particular affirmation for me that happened to be some of the exact wording I used when I wrote on the lantern in DC the night before. The universe is funny like that I guess⦠but I took it as a sign Iām on the right track. š
It was also endearing during my initial scans when she said even though I have lots of room for progress, that she could tell I have been doing a lot of healing work over the last couple years and it has been neat to see that proof from scientific scans, rather than just how I feel in my own body alone.
This isnāt even my final form⦠but ultimately a goal of mine this year is to return to Florida as the best (ever evolving) version of my Self yet. Grateful for the villages I find myself a part of wherever I go. š
