Many people view drug abuse and addiction as strictly asocial problem. Parents, teens, older adults, and other members of the community tend to characterize people who take drugs as morally weak or as having criminal tendencies. They believe that drug abusers and drug addicts should be able to stop taking drugs with will power alone. At Advanced Treatment and Recovery Center, we have a holistic understanding of addiction and we realize that people caught in the throws of addiction are often physically unable to make good decisions.
