I found myself again, in Alaska!
Something that played over in my head over and over again on this trip is how finding yourself again isn’t one big breakthrough moment...
It’s hundreds of little moments that build on each other.
- It’s when you trust yourself and know you’re being a good mom, even when your toddler is having a meltdown and you make the conscious choice to respond instead of react.
- It’s when you tell your partner how you really feel without walking on eggshells, and trust that the conversation will lead to understanding instead of conflict.
- It’s when you look in the mirror and genuinely believe:
“I am enough.”
- It’s when you take a trip away from your kids and, for the first time in a long time, enjoy being with yourself—without feeling guilty for it.
- It’s when something that used to make you anxious doesn’t anymore.
And for a second, it feels strange...
Until you realize:
“Oh my gosh, I’m actually healing.”
- It’s when you stop replaying that mistake from years ago and finally forgive yourself.
- It’s when you hear your inner voice become kinder.
- It’s when you stop needing everyone else’s approval to feel worthy.
- It’s when motherhood stops feeling like something you’re surviving and starts feeling like something you’re living.
These moments may seem small, but they’re not.
They’re the moments that prove you’re becoming HER…
The version of you that feels confident. Connected. Present. At peace.
The version of you that’s been there all along—beneath the anxiety, guilt, overwhelm, depression, and self-doubt.
And one day you’ll look back and realize...
You didn’t lose yourself in motherhood.
You found yourself again.
That’s exactly what it feels like to be come BRAVE AS A MOTHER.
