My friends Pete and Tim were in Atlanta and I had asked them to stop by my old shop on Piedmont Rd. It backs up to Piedmont Park. They said the building was empty so not sure what is going on there, but it sure was a great space for us. The kids came to work with us( My ex and I) every day and it was so great that I never had them in Day care. I can’t help thinking that their presence helped with sales too. (Must buy futon from this cute family!) We had many customers from Emery University and the CDC. Easy to throw a futon in the back seat of car or on your back with bike, (see photo) and Voila, you have a bed! We met a lot of great people who are long time friends.

Happy New Year to those who follow me here! Since retiring I don’t post a whole lot, but I want to keep the “barbieszenhouse” name. I just took down all the holiday decor that nobody got to see because everyone was sick!

This summer I worked in the garden much more than my sewing room although I did make a few masks. I also finished decorating my Zen laundry room! Creativity takes many forms. Hope my followers had a good summer.

I had forgotten that I put my shop on vacation mode, but because of Coronavirus, we were not able to take our much needed vacation, to see my siblings. We are still all so heavy with grief over the death of our Mother, and now this. Well folks, we are all in the same boat and I wish the best for every single one of you.
