I am proud to have assisted Carmel Fire Department, Jacob, Budde, and Chief Young on this adventure. Like most implementations, it had a few bumps and twists, but they were all overcome to better serve their community.
52 units of blood collected at their first drive. They will put more units into the system than they will use. Well done!

Congrats to RAC-V on standing up a great program.

The only way we can reasonably scale program growth nationwide is through cooperation at the Regional and State levels.

Two separate regional programs (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33499434/) each identified common elements for safely implementing prehospital blood.
