They’re watching.
Write the story you want them to tell ✨

Find your flow and trust it.
You never know what it’s going to unlock.

One day, my son is going to casually tell people he learned how to lift with his mom 😅

And that’s the part that gets me.

Not just raising a strong kid — but raising a kid who thinks strong women are normal.

Motherhood asks for so many versions of us.

Caretaker.
Protector.
Provider.
Soft place.
Strong back.
Witness.
Guide.
Beginning again and again.

This week, I’m thinking about the many versions of womanhood — the version that learns how to hold strength, care, exhaustion, rebuilding, love, ambition, grief, joy, and responsibility all at once.

Not perfectly.
But honestly.

At Ekow Body, strength has never meant becoming hard.

It means becoming more supported inside your real life.

So this week, may you remember:
you do not have to earn rest.
You do not have to shrink your needs to deserve care.
And you do not have to become someone else before you are worthy of beginning again.

Happy Mother’s Day to the mothers, the nurturers, the rebuilders, the protectors, the community aunties, the grieving hearts, the caregivers, and the women learning how to hold themselves with tenderness too.

Every bit counts. 🤎

We transformed the studio into a cozy pop-up for an open mic event. 🎙️

Thank you to Amanda of Carnival Haven for cultivating an experience for folks to shine their light.

There were poems book📜, art 🎨, and book chapters 📚 shared.

But my favorite was the person who said, "I got really close to almost sharing."

That's the feeling that I love the most-- a shift budding inside giving you permission to be seen.

That's the work, and it's my joy to create spaces that nurture that feeling in our community.

If you're looking for space to hold your next event, reach out and let's see what's possible.

Notes on our space:
✨1000 sft
✨Open and beautiful
✨Transformational
✨ Lots of easy parking 🤌🏾

You’re not failing—you’re using an old operating system.

I had a conversation recently that made something click really clearly.

So many women aren’t struggling because they’re lazy or inconsistent.

They’re struggling because they’re trying to do what used to work…

in a life that looks completely different now.

More responsibility.
More pressure.
Less time.
Different energy.

But the approach hasn’t changed.

So what happens?

You set a goal.
You try to go all in.
Life interrupts.
You fall off.
You feel bad about it.
Then you start over.

Again and again.

That’s not a discipline issue.
That’s a cycle.

And once you see it, you can start to do things differently.

I wrote a blog post breaking down:

the pattern that keeps you stuck
and a more realistic way to build strength that actually fits your life

If this sounds like you, it’s worth the read.

Praise the Lord, I'm healed after 6 years of therapy✨

People are afraid of matriarchy, and I don't understand why!

Women make space for joy, and call their friends to spread joy even further.

Women leading the culture makes space for men to find joy without shame.

Women leading means we find ways to make sure everyone's needs are met, including children and elders.

We want joy and softness for everyone's nervous system, because it heals us all✨

But until then, we will enjoy this whimsie ourselves.

Root & Rise was the seasonal reset we needed and it delivered more than I ever thought possible.

Dance joy abounds✨

Thank you to Ashley of for bringing the vibes

Keep an eye out for the next one!!

My favorite part of the day is hearing a woman say, "it's too heavy!" while holding it, because Sis, what?!

Training with me is not punishment or hardcore-- it's being witnessed, held and celebrated while you do something you never imagined you could!

You're surprised, but not me. I already know what you can do 🤌🏾✨

DM me if you watched this more than once and said to yourself, " I can't do that!" Cause sis, you can!!

After a long winter, most of us don’t need punishment.

We need reintroduction.

A moment to wake the body back up.

To move.
To breathe.

To remember that strength, flexibility, and rhythm are still there.

Root & Rise is a small morning gathering designed exactly for that.

We’ll move through gentle yoga, accessible strength work, and intentional rest — ending in connection and community.

You don’t have to be “in shape.”

You just have to be willing to begin again.

✨ intentionally small gathering

Sometimes strength looks like surprise.

Sometimes it looks like laughter.

Sometimes it looks like trying something new, missing it, and choosing to go again.

This is what happens when you change the story you believe about what you can do and let yourself enjoy the moment while you’re doing it.

Strength doesn’t have to be serious.

It can be playful.
It can be joyful.
It can live in the body like this. ✨

Prime isn’t about perfection.
It’s about capacity — and the freedom to use it.
