Founded in the spring of 2001, The Musical Cure at Yale is a service organization devoted to bringing the healing touch of music to those within the greater New Haven community. Specific areas we reach out to are New Haven area hospitals, hospices, etc. At these locations, we bring student musicians together to provide about an hour's worth of music in the form of a small, informal concert. Not on
ly do the residents at the locations we play at enjoy the music, but the opportunities for one-on-one relationship formation are abundant for the student musicians who want to deepen the level of their outreach to members of the community. In addition, The Musical Cure at Yale provides a united network for musicians on campus to serve the community, providing contacts as well as structural and organizational capabilities for benefit concerts and other organized service activities. Both group and individual performances can be a part of any scheduled mini-concert, and we also welcome any genre of music! All rides and other organizational needs are provided by TMC.
