We should recognize the great achievement that graduation is for our families. Children are often trying to learn while going through treatments and working hard not to fall behind. These graduations truly represent hope.

For many of our families, while the focus may need to be on their sick child, we love to celebrate their siblings too. Treatments can often mean a parent is absent from the home for long periods of time, missing out on sharing precious milestones in their children's lives.

Well done to all our graduates for making it through a tough year. We are so proud of you.

Inspired by her son’s childhood cancer journey, Dana Grasso is focusing her doctoral dissertation research on school reintegration experiences for children with cancer.

She is hoping to reach as many oncology families as possible, in order to better understand the school reintegration experience after childhood cancer treatment.
