New research published in Neurocritical Care explores how brain imaging may help predict extubation outcomes in patients with moderate to severe traumatic brain injury. 🧠

Our researchers found that certain characteristics on CT scans taken before extubation, including cerebral edema and cisternal compression, were associated with a greater likelihood of extubation failure. These findings could help inform future approaches to airway management and care for patients with traumatic brain injury.
