15 years ago, this morning, I sat in a Biology classroom at Murphy High School, our school in lockdown, terrified eyes glued to a television screen, helplessly watching two towers crumble...it seemed as though every person from sea to shining sea was holding their breath...
1 year and 2 months ago (approximately), this morning, I lay unconscious in a operating room at Ochsner Medical Center, the waiting room brimming and bustling with nerve-shattered people, awaiting a single word...it seemed as though all of our friends and family were holding their breath...
This morning, I experienced a HUMBLING, CRUSHING, JOY-FULL, AUTHENTIC ENCOUNTER with Christ Jesus at Calvary Baptist Church. The room seemed to tremble in HIS presence. I did not want this moment to end, and I held my breath...
James 1:2 - 4 ~ "Consider it all JOY, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, KNOWING that the testing of your faith produces ENDURANCE. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing."
I fall on my face before Abba - Daddy, Father God, for His testing of my faith, so that I would learn ENDURANCE. For, "not that I speak from want, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need. I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH HIM WHO STRENGTHENS ME. Nevertheless, you have done well to share with me in my affliction." ~ Philippians 4:11 - 14.
