On July 30th 2012, Megan's Journey Foundation Inc. went from being a dream to a reality. During one of many of Megan's hospital stays, Megan and her mom, Sharon were discussing how they wanted to help people that were like Megan having to live with a chronic illness. They wanted to show them that they were not alone fighting their illnesses, Megan and Sharon wanted to join them on their journey by sending them items that would brighten up their day and show them that people are thinking about them, that they do not have to do this journey alone. This is when Megan and Sharon came up with the ideas of Bravery Boxes and Comfort Cards to encourage people to keep fighting against their disease. Living with a chronic illness, people face the challenges of being hospitalized, not being able to attend social outings, not being in your own home, and through these challenges you have to be brave and keep fighting. We hope that our Bravery Boxes and Comfort Cards will encourage to be brave in your journey.

**Update: November 26, 2015**
We are now continuing Megan's Journey on a smaller scale and are no longer a non-profit foundation. We still are sending out Comfort Cards to people of all ages and all chronic illnesses. These are personalized handmade cards of hope and encouragement to brighten up someone's day and remind them that they are not alone on their journey with their chronic illness.
