Harder doesn’t always mean better.

Progress in Pilates isn’t always about adding more resistance, increasing the range, or choosing a more advanced exercise.

Sometimes, we change the environment.

The same movement on the Reformer and Tower can create a completely different experience—changing the direction of resistance, the feedback you receive, and what your body has to organize and control.

At Enhancewell, we use different apparatus intentionally—not simply to make an exercise harder, but to find the version that makes the most sense for your body and your goals.

Because the goal isn’t harder.

It’s better movement.

The Reformer gets all the attention — but Pilates was designed as a system. ✨

Reformer. Tower. Chair. Cadillac. Ladder Barrel.

Each apparatus gives your body something different: more support, more challenge, more mobility, more strength, or a new way to understand a movement.

That’s why we don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all workout.

We choose the apparatus and exercises based on what your body needs to move better and get stronger.

New to Pilates? You don’t need to know where to start. That’s our job.

YOU DON’T NEED HARDER PILATES.
YOU NEED THE RIGHT PILATES.

Progress in Pilates isn’t about doing the hardest exercise in the room.

It’s about choosing the exercise your body needs right now.

Sometimes that means progressing to a more challenging variation.

Sometimes it means going back to Footwork and improving your alignment.

Slowing down your Hundred so your abdominals—not your neck—do the work.

Using lighter springs so you can control the carriage.

Or choosing a simpler exercise that addresses the weakness behind the compensation.

Advanced doesn’t always mean better.
Better movement is better.

The right Pilates program meets your body where it is—and progresses it from there.

5 Signs You Need Massage or Bodywork

Your body usually tells you when it needs a little extra attention. Here are 5 signs to listen for:

1️⃣ You’re always tight in the same places
Neck, shoulders, hips, or low back—no matter how much you stretch.

2️⃣ You wake up feeling stiff
Your body needs time to “warm up” before moving comfortably.

3️⃣ Your movement feels restricted
Reaching, twisting, bending, or working out doesn’t feel as easy as it should.

4️⃣ You’re not recovering well from workouts
Soreness and muscle fatigue seem to stick around longer than usual.

5️⃣ Stress is living in your body
Tight shoulders, clenched jaw, headaches, or that constant feeling of tension.

Bodywork isn’t just about relaxation. It can help you recover, move more comfortably, and feel better in your body.

What can I actually learn about your body during a Pilates assessment? Quite a lot.

Before we start working together, I want to understand how your body moves—not just what exercises you can do.

During an assessment, I’m looking at three important things:

1. Mobility
Where do you move well, and where are you restricted? Limited mobility in the ankles, hips, shoulders, or spine can change how you perform an exercise and cause another area to do more of the work.

2. Strength + stability
Being strong doesn’t necessarily mean you're strong everywhere. I look at where you may need more strength, stability, or control—and whether one side is working differently from the other.

3. Compensation patterns
This is often where we learn the most. Maybe your hip shifts during a squat, your shoulders elevate when you reach overhead, or your back takes over when your core or hips should be doing more.

None of these things are about finding something “wrong” with your body.

They give me information.

That information helps me decide what we strengthen, what we mobilize, what we modify, and how we progress your Pilates program.

Because your private Pilates session shouldn’t just be a collection of exercises.

It should have a reason behind it.

Assess. Understand. Move better.

✨ Curious about Facial Gua Sha? Here’s what to expect.

Your session begins with a quick check-in about your skin, areas of tension, and what you’d like to focus on.

We’ll prep the skin with facial oil or serum before using smooth Gua Sha tools with slow, intentional strokes across the face, jaw and neck.

The treatment can help:

• Encourage circulation
• Reduce the appearance of puffiness
• Release tension in the jaw and facial muscles
• Temporarily enhance facial definition
• Promote an overall sense of relaxation

And yes—it feels as good as it looks. ✨

Think of it as bodywork for your face.

STOP GUESSING. START ASSESSING.

One of the biggest mistakes people make is jumping straight into an exercise program.

At Enhancewell, every private client begins with an assessment because your body tells a story before you ever perform a single exercise.

We look at things like:
✔️ Posture
✔️ Alignment
✔️ Movement patterns
✔️ Balance & stability
✔️ Mobility
✔️ Strength
✔️ Compensation patterns

Why?

Because two people with the exact same complaint often need completely different programs.

One person's knee pain may start at the foot.
Another's may come from the hip.
Someone else's may be caused by poor core control.

Without an assessment, you're guessing.

With an assessment, every exercise has a purpose.

That's how we create programs that don't just make you sweat—they help you move better, feel stronger, and achieve lasting results.

✨ Assessment first. Programming second. Results follow.
