What is shading on clarinet? đ
Shading is when you partially cover or uncover a key/tonehole to slightly adjust a noteâs pitch, response, or tone color.
It can be especially useful for correcting the intonation of certain notes in specific musical contexts, and it can save you from getting unnecessary pitch adjustments done on your instrument too.
