PUSH for Empowered Pregnancy We're on a mission to end preventable stillbirth and we're not taking no for an answer.

Part 2: What to do! If your patient experienced a stillbirth, be tactful when discussing the next steps.

This is a situation that requires extreme empathy & cannot be rushed. (Note: You may not be the right person to deliver this information). Remember finding out the cause of death is crucial for your patients’ healing journey, including to plan for future pregnancies if they decide to have another baby. AND it can help improve the care you give your next family! So please do everything possible to help them find answers.

Part 1: What NOT to do! After a stillbirth, parents are in complete shock & need the gentle guidance of their care team through the process of evaluating why this happened.

❌ Don’t be like Owen’s doctor!

“Why did this happen?” is the question every family asks after stillbirth, & too often, they never get an answer.

Join us for a candid conversation LIVE on our Facebook, YouTube & LinkedIn pages with Dr. Emmie Strassberg, DO, FACOOG as she walks us through the why behind stillbirth evaluation: what tests matter, what answers are possible, & how finding a cause can offer families both closure & a clearer path forward.

Whether you’re a patient navigating pregnancy after loss or a provider supporting them, this conversation is for you.

Dr. Strassberg also shares how she’s reimagining PAL care through her telemedicine practice & community program, Building Hope After Loss — because better answers lead to better outcomes, & no family should walk this road alone.

Reminder if you’re a provider & want to learn more, you can take PUSH’s self-paced, accredited courses now at pushpregnancy.thinkific.com for both Stillbirth Prevention & PAL Trauma Informed Care.

Moms built this moment. 💙

Today at the NC Capitol, bereaved mothers, advocates, and lawmakers stood together to push for passage of the BUMP Act (SB 909), a bill sponsored by which would bring standardized fetal movement education and provider training to every corner of North Carolina.

Two babies are born still every day in this state. The BUMP Act is how we change that.

PUSH's own incredible Ana Vick (), Owen's mom, has spent years laying the groundwork for this critical legislation alongside PUSH Changemaker Brittany Day (), Ruby & Sophie's mom, and our partners at / (including Madison's mom Henderson) and Tomeka James Isaac (), Jace's mom. This Mother's Day, we celebrate every courageous parent who has transformed loss into lasting change.

Mothers don't just grieve. We legislate. 🏛️

Ana has shown up for North Carolina's families and beyond the same way she showed up for Owen: with everything she had. We are so proud of her.

This Mother's Day and always, we're honoring the moms who turned their deepest grief into the most powerful kind of love: advocacy that saves lives. 💙

Hello, my name is [Your Name], a constituent from [Zip Code], and I'm calling to say that it is unacceptable for NY State to continue stripping stillbirth mothers of their right to heal after birthing and burying a child. Do the right thing and pass A5319 or A9571 before a NY mom loses her life. Thank you.
