Want to learn more about heartfully done and my process when working with clients?
Check out my interview with highly sensitive coach and emotional intelligence facilitator Shannon Callarman on the Valid Feelings podcast. On the show, we discuss what it's like to be highly sensitive and multi-passionate, how I use empathy and intuition to provide more value for my clients, and how to work with me virtually.

„Kati gave me the encouragement and gentle kick in the rear I needed! The best way I can describe it is like hiring a personal trainer for my house. Everyone in my house is happier now. I feel less stressed. It's been the best investment for my whole family. I wish I had done it years ago.“

Do you want a website but need more information to decide? Watch this 3 part video series to determine if Squarespace is the way to go or if you'd prefer to hire a website designer. I share my experiences as a service-based business owner (home organizing industry). I built my own bilingual Squarespace 7.1 website with the help of the program "Website that Wows," if you'd like to check it out. All the links are in the bio.

Direkter Link in meiner Bio.

After finishing my own KonMari Tidying Festival in 2016, I had more capacity and started learning about a zero-waste and plastic-free lifestyle. One of my big inspirations was Bea Johnson's TED Talk about Zero Waste. She shares the 5 R's: Refuse - Reduce - Reuse - Recycle - Rot. I would throw in a "Repair" for good measure and make it the 6 R's.

Growing up in Germany, I was pretty good at Reuse, Repair, Recycle and Rot, but I was a stranger to Refuse and Reduce. I wanted stuff, and I wanted more of it.

Moving to NYC and realizing the hidden costs of my "Let's better keep it"-lifestyle was a big shock. Rent and everything else was so pricy that I needed to learn how to refuse and reduce. After I finished this process, I had more space in my home and more room in my mind to think about my environmental footprint.

A big game ganger to reduce the amount of trash we produce each week is composting. I wasn't going for a worm bin in our apartment but NYC's composting program. Once a week, I can drop off our compost (which I collect in the freezer, so it's not smelly) in my neighborhood. Because of the pandemic, it was closed for the last two years, but now it's open again, and I'm thrilled about it. 🎉

Don't get me wrong; there is still enough trash (and yes, many single-use plastics) I produce. So still a long way to go. But it's not the big change you make, but the many little ones that turn out to be a big one after a long time. Tiny steps are ok!

[SWIPE 👉AND SHARE] What do you think? These two pictures are a real before and after of one of my clients' bedrooms! Isn't it an incredible transformation?!

My client had these beat-up walls as her resting spot for way too long. But we didn't start with the walls. If you know anything about the KonMari Method, you might know that the first category is clothes. We started and went through all of them, plus shoes, jewelry, etc.

After figuring out which clothes spark joy, I also asked her what type of bedroom she dreams of, and it was no surprise that the peeled-off wallpaper didn't spark joy. My client longed for a beautiful and serene sanctuary.

So besides bringing away decluttered clothes, my client's homework was to call the "wall guy." She did, they found a solution, and ALL the rest of this bedroom transformation was her own doing! She did it! I didn't do a single thing - only encouragement along the way and big ohs and ahs because I was so blown away by her follow-through.

What is the gist of this story, you might wonder? As a KonMari consultant, I'm only a catalysator. I'm coming into someone's life and home as an outsider. I ask questions, encourage trial and error, prompt next steps so my clients can reach their goals.
If this tickles you somehow and you want to change something but don't know where to start, start with a free discovery call with me. Worst case scenario, you have a friendly 30-minute Zoom call with me; in the best-case scenario, you are experiencing the life-changing magic of tidying up! Come and find out more—link in bio.

What do you think? Is this statement true? Comment, and let's have a conversation. I'm curious to read what you think. "Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself." - George Bernard Shaw

For the longest time, I thought I had to find my purpose. To have this godly a-ha moment of finding my calling. I'm not 100% sure when this mindset started shifting. But I know for sure that being a business owner had something to do with it.

2013 I started my first business in Germany. In 2015 I started my first business in the US, and then in 2017, I started another business (heartfully done as it is today). In between, I worked in churches as a wedding officiant and interior designer. I did so many things and learned a lot along the way.

I know for sure that my life isn't about finding myself; it's about creating and experiencing myself. About making up my mind about all, I've learned, and then reflect some more on top of that. And this is how I know what I want and what I don't anymore. There is no one size fits all plan.

Whatever it was, I tried to find it back in my teen years and twenties - and let's not kid us here, also not for the most of my thirties - I couldn't find it by thinking, reading books, watching TED Talks, etc. I needed to get into trial and error mode and see how thing A feels, how thing B feels, and then try some more.

The Old Testament calls God the creator of this world. And also that we are made in God's image. I find this beautiful to think of myself as a creator for painting a picture, planting some flowers, or helping my clients bring order into a cluttered space.

Certainly, this isn't my only talent. I am also a great preacher, but it brings me so much more joy to see someone's very practical transformation. I'm really into before and afters.

I encourage you to go from finding mode into creation mode. It made and made an enormous change in my own life.
