At 70, I was 312 lbs and tired of feeling like my body had become a reminder of everything I had survived.
I carried grief in my chest.
Shame in my silence.
And weight I pretended did not hurt me.
I stopped taking pictures.
Stopped dressing up.
Stopped believing there was still a strong woman left inside me.
But one day, I realized something.
I was still breathing.
And if I was still breathing, I could still begin again.
So I started small.
One walk.
One better meal.
One day where I chose myself instead of giving up.
By 72, I was 150 lbs.
162 lbs gone.
I made this blueprint for the woman who feels like life has taken too much from her.
It has not taken everything.
