ICE was invented in 2003. Borders were enforced long before that. So let’s stop lying to ourselves: ICE is not border security—it’s a policy choice, and a recent one at that.

Border security is a responsibility of government. ICE is a bloated, punitive agency that people pretend is untouchable because outrage is easier than thinking. Saying “you can’t dismantle ICE” is historically illiterate. We did border enforcement without it for most of this country’s existence—and we can do it again without normalizing cruelty as governance.

Nasty Woman Cosmetics launched in 2017 and have been so blessed by the support we have received. We also have had some detractors asking us why we would start a makeup company that was political. "Why do you want to alienate half the population?" they asked. Well here is a little secret. We are more activists than businesswomen. We care more about progress and equal rights than anything else. We are passionate about what we believe and what we create. We made the best vegan lip products possible and sell them to fund our activism. Our brand of lipstick feminism is simple, we want to make the world a better place and we want to wear a bold lip color while doing it. We hope you feel the same!
