Daniel is running the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon in honor of his sister, April. "Watching my sister, April, face her diagnosis with extraordinary strength and resilience showed me both the challenges patients endure and the critical need for continued progress in prevention and treatment," he said. "The hope she carried throughout her journey was made possible in part by advances driven by research, and I want future patients and families to have even more reasons for hope."

When Arjun Bhayani’s grandmother was diagnosed with triple-negative metastatic breast cancer, he wanted to do more than feel helpless, he wanted to help fuel progress.

After learning about BCRF and the critical role research plays in advancing better treatments and outcomes, Arjun turned his passion for music into action. In 2025, he organized his first fundraising concert to support breast cancer research, bringing together his community through an evening of music, connection, and hope.

Inspired by the impact of that first event, Arjun hosted the concert again this year—raising an incredible $9,064 for BCRF, more than tripling last year’s total of $2,930. 🎶

We’re so grateful to Arjun, the performers, volunteers, and everyone who helped make this event possible. Every fundraiser, every donation, and every act of support helps advance research that brings us closer to a world without breast cancer.

A mastectomy can bring up many questions, especially for those newly diagnosed or exploring treatment options.

While it is a common and often highly effective procedure for treating or reducing the risk of breast cancer, the experience is different for everyone. Understanding what to expect before, during, and after surgery can help patients feel more informed and supported in their decisions.
