Today fellow RDNs around the world are celebrating what it means to be a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, and honestly? I wouldn’t trade this career for anything.

Here’s why:

🥑 From helping people get quick, healthy meals on the table to. managing diabetes to supporting cancer patients — our work has real impact every single day.

🌱 Food is universal! Every culture, every table, every celebration revolves around food. We get to be part of that story in the most meaningful way.

📚 We never stop learning. Nutrition science evolves constantly. There’s always something new to discover, debate, and dig into — and I love that.

💬 We bust myths for a living. In a world overflowing with food fads and influencer nonsense, RDNs are the evidence-based voice that people actually need.

🤝 The community is incredible! RDs are some of the most passionate, collaborative, and driven professionals out there. We lift each other up every single day.

To every RDN out there — thank you for showing up, speaking up, and nourishing the world one evidence-based conversation at a time. ❤️

Loving my new mousepad and all this fantastic info about the Brilliance of Beans 😍

And thrilled to see the DGAC is recommending 2. 5 cups of beans per week! Packed with plant protein and fiber, they’re nature’s perfect power food! No wonder they’ve been shown to promote better gut health to protect against heart disease, diabetes and weight gain.

TY and cannedbeans.org for the goodies!

Can ultra-processed foods be part of a healthy diet? I break things down in this month's Soy Connection

Ultra-processed foods are controversial. Yet, despite the headlines, we rarely hear about their benefits. For example, many ultra-processed foods are extremely nutrient-dense, not to mention convenient, affordable, and accessible. As a result, they can help busy clients and patients prepare healthfu...

Did you know your brain is one of the hungriest organs in your body, burning a mind-blowing 20% of your calories?

So it’s never too early to start feeding it right!

And the best way to do that is with the MIND Diet, an eating plan that that’s filled with brain-friendly foods like🫐 🥬🍓🥦🫘🐠 olive oil and even 🍷

My latest for special publications takes deep dive into the science behind this deliciously powerful eating plan and how it can help your brain stay sharp just in time for Alzheimer’s & Brain Health Awareness Month.

A huge thank you to MIND diet diva Maggie Moon aka for her expertise and insights into the power of this brain-boosting plan.

First, there were probiotics. Then there were prebiotics. Could postbiotics be the next big thing in gut health? I put the question to nutrition pros Patricia Bannan and Chelsea LeBlanc, RDN. Here's what they have to say via EatingWell

Postbiotics are compounds like short-chain fatty acids and enzymes. Learn from health experts about their benefits and how to add them to your diet.
