We are proud to share a new article HereNow board member Charlotte wrote for My Jewish Learning! https://bit.ly/4aFb3ck

Charlotte's February article, "Overcoming Life's Obstacles," reflects on the lessons she learned from Israeli hostage Eli Sharab'si speech about resilience, gratitude, and the importance of family. Through this mental health lens, Charlotte explores how choosing hope can reshape how we see our own challenges.

HereNow is a Jewish teen-driven mental health movement that supports mental wellness through community, creativity, leadership, and self-discovery by amplifying their voices, expanding access to resources, engaging their communities, and strengthening their environment. HereNow is an initiative of The Jewish Board, funded by UJA-Federation of New York.

On Martin Luther King Jr. Day we created goodie bags for residents of one of The Jewish Board's assisted living facilities. We learned how much we have in common with the people we served: folks in the residences are learning independent living skills with their mental health challenges; and we teens are in a life stage where we're embarking on independent life outside of homes we've known our whole lives. We were inspired! Join us next time.
