Country music singer-songwriter Joshua Ray Walker was diagnosed with cancer the day before he was set to make a big appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live. "It seemed like every time I had some big milestone in my career, there was some personal tragedy tied to it." Walker continued to write music throughout treatment and is now about to release his first album since his diagnosis in 2023.

In Kylie Minogue's newly released Netflix documentary she revealed a second cancer diagnosis she received in 2021 and chose to kept private, unlike her first diagnosis in 2005.

"I don't feel obliged to tell the world, and actually I just couldn't at the time because I was just a shell of a person...I didn't want to leave the house again at one point. Padam Padam opened so many doors for me but on the inside I knew that cancer wasn't just a blip in my life."

"Psychologically, I was dealing with a sense of identity loss that was unexpectedly crippling, one that came from no longer being sure about who I was, or whether my work in education had defined me more than I knew. Could I still operate at the same level I used to? Did I even want to do it? How would my colleagues see me?"

Sara Gore, Emmy-winning host of multiple programs with NBC New York, announced this week she will be taking time off to focus on her treatment after being diagnosed with breast cancer. In a social media post she said, "I'm going to come back better than ever, and I'm going to see you on the other side of this."
