Today, we celebrate the hard work, dedication, and contributions of generations of Americans who have helped shape the communities we know today.

It's also a wonderful opportunity to recognize the many different careers and accomplishments represented by the residents within our Citadel communities. Teachers, business owners, parents, healthcare professionals, veterans, tradespeople, homemakers, and so many others—each has a story and a legacy worth celebrating. ❤️

New notebooks, freshly sharpened pencils, meeting a new teacher, picking out the perfect first-day outfit—and maybe even a little nervous excitement the night before!

For many of our residents, school looked very different than it does today, which makes their stories even more interesting to hear. 💛
