No appetite whatsoever. Am I alone in this? I usually tell my clients to listen to their bodies and to trust them. However, under severe stress, your body might be asking you to eat more than usual (for comfort, and we produce serotonin, the “I’m ok” hormone when we eat, so it makes sense) or you might feel you can’t stomach the smallest bite, even if you haven’t eaten in while. Here, cognition needs to take over and you have to eat. Even if just a small amount. A combo of greens + protein ( tuna, which is low mercury and it’s a fish rich in omega-3s, good for brain and mood) + something fermented (beet sauerkraut on my bowl, which feeds the gut microbiome by replenishing helpful bacteria), extra Virgin olive oil (great, delicious, anti-inflammatory fat that conducts calor and facilitates absorption of fat-soluble vitamins) and I had these crackers w flax, pumpkin, sesame, and psyllium seeds for fiber, a bit more protein, crunch, Vitamin E, & satisfaction. You can use plain seeds or store-bought crackers). I hope this inspires u for a bit of easy but necessary to sustain you and support your mood to a certain degree (unfortunately, food is no magic, although when shared w loved ones, it has super powers)
