Stop "shoulding" on yourself. Instead use the words "I would benefit from...". From a psychological standpoint, using the word should gives some perception of being controlled. Using "I would benefit from..." is you making a decision on what you want. If you do not believe you will really benefit from it, you will not be internally motivated to do it.

Americans consume nearly three times the amount of added sugar than what is healthy for the body and all of that extra sugar contributes to chronic diseases like obesity, diabetes and heart disease.

But sugar alone isn’t harmful to our bodies, instead it’s the amount of added sugar we consume on a daily basis. The problem behind all of this? That extra sugar adds calories but no nutrients.

Remember it is "added sugar" that is the problem. If something is over 5 grams of "added sugar" per serving, be cautious and enjoy that food very slowly and mindfully if you choose to eat it!

Did you include a new nutritious food, take some time to exercise or eat a meal mindfully without any distraction? Did you intentionally drink more water or schedule at least 6 hours of sleep?
