We can find tremendous peace, grace, and strength in solitude.
But for some, connection begins to feel like demand rather than invitation.
When that happens, friendship, intimacy, and even reaching out can quietly become things we avoid—not because we don’t long for connection, but because somewhere along the way, connection stopped feeling safe.
Healing isn’t about forcing ourselves to be more social.
It’s about gently understanding what our nervous system has learned, creating space for healing, and allowing connection to become a place of freedom rather than pressure.
💚 Has there been a season when solitude felt safer than connection? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
