Voice is central to human experience and yet often invisible in the therapeutic process.

Through a Gestalt lens, this workshop explores voice as a window into inner states, body tensions, defenses, and contact. When we attune to voice, our clients’ and our own, perception deepens, connection strengthens, and interventions become more precise and relationally grounded.

Through discussion, experientials, demonstrations, and case examples, clinicians will learn to:

• Understand the connection between voice, body tension, and defense
• Hear clients with greater vocal attunement
• Use their own voice to foster rapport, support, and co-regulation
• Access voice as an additional channel to guide therapeutic interventions

Working with couples can feel overwhelming:
How do you make sense of what’s happening between them?
How do you understand the fears, wounds, and protections driving their reactions?
And how do you help them move toward safety and genuine connection?

This practicum-style, 6-week online course is designed for therapists who want to deepen their confidence and skill in couples work through direct experience, reflection, and practice.

Each 3-hour session includes:
• Clear, grounded didactic teaching on couples dynamics and interventions
• Space for case questions from your own work
• Hands-on practicum, with couples role-played by group members
• Feedback on what worked, what didn’t, and opportunities to try different interventions
