👋🏽Hi Everyone! My little backyard garden is in full effect. Check out my cucumbers! And the taste! Oh my! What a difference. We just washed it, sliced it, and ate it! Nothing else! FUN FACT: Technically cucumbers are fruits. They are 96% percent water, making them the most hydrating solid food you can eat. Remember the skin holds a great deal of nutrients (Vitamin K, antioxidants, fiber, and magnesium just to name a few). Cucumbers are great for blood sugar control and are heart healthy.
Who else is growing cucumbers this year?

Small Habits = Big Changes
Feeling overwhelmed or sluggish lately? Not hitting your target wellness goals? You don't always need a total life overhaul to feel better. True wellness sometimes starts with tiny, daily choices.
Here are 3 simple habits you can start with today:
1. Hydrate first: Drink clean filtered water first thing in the morning before your morning coffee/tea/juice
2. Practice intentional deep breathing at least once daily: Inhale for 4 seconds, hold for 4 seconds exhale for 4 seconds.
3. Take a quick sunlight break: For example, Step outside for 5 minutes at lunch.

Seed to Table Energy! From my backyard to my table, my new veggie and herb garden is officially thriving Ya’ll! 🌿🍅 This whole journey was inspired by my neighbor Mr. Peter, who just decided outta nowhere that I needed a garden 👀🤣. At first I was like, this is weird. But I’m so glad he did and I’m so glad I just let it rock because there is absolutely nothing like stepping outside to harvest my own fresh ingredients.
Here is some of what I got growing right now:
🥬 Leafy Greens
* Bhaji & Swiss Chard: Packed with nutrients and growing strong.
* Tomatoes & Cucumbers: My cucumbers are coming in, my tomatoes are still green but I know they will make the ultimate duo for summer salads.
* Eggplant: Still waiting for them to come in for a perfect roast.
* Scotch Bonnets: Growing beautifully to bring some serious heat! 🔥

🌿 My Herb Corner
* Sweet Basil: Smelling amazing and ready for fresh sauces and healthy lemonade
* My Thyme & Rosemary: making the whole backyard yard smell like a kitchen.
I can't wait to watch everything continue to mature so I can continue to prepare meals straight from the yard. Please do me a huge favor and drop some of your best gardening tips or favorite recipes for these ingredients in the comments! 👇🏽

Ever find yourself in that afternoon slump and reaching for a sugary snack? 🥱
The secret to steady energy, fewer cravings, and staying full longer is making sure to get enough protein throughout the day!
Think of protein as your body's building blocks.
Here is why daily protein is a non-negotiable for your health:
1. Crushes Cravings: Protein suppresses hunger hormones and keeps you feeling full and satisfied after meals.
2. Fights Fatigue: Unlike carbs that can cause energy spikes and crashes, protein provides slow, steady fuel.
3. Supports Aging Well: It keeps your muscles, bones, and immune system strong as you get older.
How much protein do you really need, though? 🤔
A good baseline for most adults is aiming for about 20 to 30 grams of protein per main meal.
🍳 Easy ways to hit your goal:
A. Swap cereal for 3 eggs or a bowl of Greek yogurt.
B. Add a scoop of protein powder to your morning smoothie.
C. Keep canned tuna, hard-boiled eggs, or edamame on hand for quick snacks.
3. Fill 1/4 of your lunch and dinner plate with lean meats, fish, tofu, or lentils.
Small changes in your daily routine can make a massive difference in how you feel 💪
👇 Let’s help each other out: What is your absolute favorite, go-to high-protein food or recipe? Tell me in the comments below! 👇

July is National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month, a time to bring awareness to the challenges we face when it comes to mental illness.
Mental health challenges don't discriminate but access to care often does.
Cultural stigmas, historical mistrust of medical systems, and lack of diverse, culturally competent providers mean many of us suffer in silence.

In honor of National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month, let’s openly discuss our mental wellness, normalize seeking help across all cultures, and advocate for native language support and trauma-informed care.
Can we commit to protecting each other's energy and breaking that stigma? Let’s control the narrative and advocate for culturally competent, equal care.
Seeking help is a sign of strength NOT weakness.
