www.wellnessfeast.com Welcome!

My name is Nicole, and I am a certified health and wellness coach in Northern Virginia. I'm also a wife, mom, animal lover and breast cancer survivor. Wellness Feast was founded to help others reclaim their health, lives and joy. I'm in my 50s, and I can honestly say I've never been healthier or happier. Whatever age you are, I want you to be able to say the same thing.

Health up what you have a hankering for. Instead of a plain bagel with cream cheese, this is Dave's Killer Bread Powerseed with Neufchâtel cream cheese, colorful sliced tomatoes, fresh parsley and smoked salmon. Way more nourishing and packed with protein, fiber and antioxidants.

Pre-painting routine. If you have hand or wrist pain Lead the Way Organics Vela (a restorative balm with magnesium) and Tension Tamer muscle & joint relief oil (arnica, magnesium, holy basil & more) are godsends. And they’ll be at Outsiders Only at THE G R O U N D S of Livev in October with loads of other amazing local artisans.

We start tomorrow, grab your spot in the link below. Pain and grief come in many forms, and sometimes they’re interwoven with periods of great joy or times of celebration. GROWING THROUGH PAIN is a six-week offering for anyone navigating pain, illness, injury, grief, stress or simply the reality that being human can hurt sometimes. We’ll be exploring a holistic approach to living with and responding to pain with wisdom, action, compassion and hope. Together, we’ll learn ways to care for our bodies, build our support systems, strengthen our minds and nurture our spirits while creating space for healing, resilience and growth. Topics will include acceptance without giving up, adapting to life’s changes, the spiritual invitation that pain can offer, practical tools for managing stress and nervous system regulation, anti-inflammatory nutrition and lifestyle practices, and finding meaning and purpose even when circumstances are difficult. Each week is designed to provide encouragement, education and practical steps you can apply in your own life. Also included ~ one private coaching session, one group coaching session and a year of access to the Members Area of the website. NOTE: current clients and members can get a special rate in the Members Area of the website. I can’t wait to explore this topic with you. So I’m really proud of this little quickie painting because (a) it reflects my own spin on real flowers I photographed at THE G R O U N D S of Livev yesterday (instead of a lesson), and (b) I am finally busting out of my tendency to be too “tight” with watercolor (at least temporarily, who knows what will happen after this). It’s like I can be free with oils and pigment sticks, but not watercolor, and I know there are lots of obvious reasons for that. But I think I realized something else. Before, I was painting/copying flowers that were basically perfectly in bloom. But there was something so stunningly beautiful about this dying one. I was drawn to it as soon as I stepped outside The Grounds studio. And I’m realizing that’s what it is ~ the beauty is in its imperfection, in its becoming something else. Which is something I work on constantly ~ in myself, with my clients, even in the Growing Through Pain offering that starts this week. I just needed to share that. Even though my kids are probably rolling their eyes and thinking, it doesn’t have to be that DEEP, Mom. 😂💕

Protein and fiber packed breakfast without all the “high protein” additives. I call it peanut butter and jelly oatmeal. Rolled oats cooked in half water, half unsweetened organic soy milk, a scoop of plain nonfat Icelandic yogurt, a scoop of unsweetened peanut butter, some walnuts, flaxseed meal and chia seeds, topped with blueberries and sliced strawberries, and I like a little sprinkle of granola on top for crunch.
