When someone invites you to a āplant medicine ceremonyā - itās always a good idea to ask about tradition, lineage & style.
Ceremonies can offer the same medicine but can feel vastly different.
For example, Iāve been in ceremonies where you sit on the floor⦠sometimes you can lay down, other times they very specifically ask you to sit up. Iāve also seen ceremonies where people are asked to sit at tables in a chairā¦
Some ceremonies are completely in the dark, others have one or two candles, and others completely lit up by candlesā¦
Some ceremonies you can wear whatever you want, sometimes youāre asked to wear a skirt/dress, sometimes they ask you to wear all white and some circles have uniformsā¦
Some circles sing Icaros only using their voice, others sing songs with instruments⦠and some circles unfortunately play music from a recordingā¦
Again, the same medicine can be served VASTLY different based on the traditional, lineage and style⦠or worst case scenario by the lack of training by the facilitator.
When you are invited to ceremony, I hope this video empowers you to ask the right questions⦠So you donāt just end up at any ceremony but rather a ceremony thatās a good fit for you as an individual at this moment.
