We are excited to kick off CPR's fall season next week with a live performance installation featuring the collaborative work of over 15 multidisciplinary artists with "to love the rise/pt.2 [REMNANTS]" ๐Ÿ”จ

The opening and live performance on Thurs, Sept 8 from 6-9pm brings together movement, vocalizations, and carpentry, where a new Utopia is composted, built, and traversed โ€“ collaging moving and grooving, sensing and sounding, constructing and deconstructing, order and chaos, to arrive together into a transformed ecosystem and alternative order.

Premiering as a process in two parts, the opening of [REMNANTS] at CPR will have live performances, detritus, and video throughout the evening, and will be followed by an evening-length performance in October at Roulette Intermedium.

You can also stop by on Saturday, Sept 10 between 12-6pm for Gallery Hours to view [REMNANTS] in CPR's Storefront Gallery.

Applications for CPR's 2023 Artist-in-Residence Program are now open! ๐Ÿ ๐Ÿ’š

Established in 2012, this year-long residency seeks to support a wide range of artists, from emerging to established, working within various perspectives of contemporary dance, performance, and time-based forms. CPR values experimental approaches to content, form, and aesthetic, and encourages risk-taking and the unexpected.

The AiR Program provides ten artists each year with rehearsal space, presentation and performance opportunities, curatorial and project support, professional development, and peer dialogue, all of which are designed to support the individualized creative process and an open environment for research, experimentation, embodiment, exchange, and creation.

Applications will be accepted until Tuesday, Sept 6, 2022 at 5pm EST.

Visit www.cprnyc.org/events/OpenCall-2023AiR or link in bio to read more about the program and to apply, and email [email protected] with any questions!

And just like that, CPR's 2022 Spring Season comes to a close, and we thought we'd look back at some of the amazing moments!

This spring, we were grateful to continue in-person programming, providing artists with space to process and share their work publicly, many of whom were returning to the stage for the first time since the pandemic. We welcomed so many new faces and were extremely moved to witness our community grow not only in numbers, but also in love, care and deep support.

BRAVO to all the artists, curators, CPR staff, technicians, event managers, audiences, and supporters! Our hearts are filled with gratitude for each and everyone of you who made all this possible.

We can't wait to see you back in the fall for another amazing season! ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š

CPR opened its doors in 2009 with the vision of creating a sustainable, affordable, process-driven space for NYC's dance and performance community.

As CPR enters its 15th fiscal year (!!) tomorrow on July 1, we remain passionately committed to these founding principles, while celebrating how we've built upon this mission to establish CPR as an important incubator for new work, supporting an ever-expanding community of exciting and experimental artists. โšก๏ธ

Will you help us celebrate CPR's 15th year of process-driven artistic experimentation with a gift before midnight tonight?

A contribution of any amount โ€“ $25, $75, $150, or more! โ€“ will be so meaningful as we close out an exciting and monumental year.

Donate via the link in bio or at cprnyc.org/donate!
