We feel so passionately about preventative wellness and helping people feel their best before they reach the point of feeling completely run down. We also know that getting every nutrient your body needs through food alone can be difficult. Busy schedules, stress, dietary restrictions, and absorption issues can all play a role.

Vitamin infusions and injections can offer additional support, but they are only one piece of the picture.

Prioritizing yourself also means drinking water, choosing nourishing foods, getting enough sleep, moving your body, and creating healthy habits you can maintain. Our goal is not to replace those basics. It is to support you as you build a lifestyle that helps you feel your best. ๐ŸคŽ๐Ÿ

Myth: You have to be dehydrated to benefit from hydration.

Not necessarily! ๐Ÿ’ง

Hydration isn't just about treating dehydration. Staying well hydrated helps your body carry out everyday functions like regulating body temperature, supporting circulation, transporting nutrients, and maintaining normal organ function.

Many people lose fluids through exercise, spending time in the heat, traveling, or simply not drinking enough throughout the day. You don't have to be severely dehydrated to notice the effects of being a little behind on your fluid intake.

The goal isn't to wait until you're dehydrated... it's to stay ahead of it. Making hydration a regular part of your wellness routine may help you feel your best, especially during busy days or the warmer months. ๐Ÿ

A quick bathroom check can tell you more than you might think.

Urine color can offer helpful clues about hydration. Pale yellow usually suggests you are well hydrated, while darker yellow or amber urine may mean it is more concentrated and your body could use additional fluids. However, color alone cannot determine how dehydrated someone is.

Notice bright or neon-yellow urine after a vitamin infusion or injection? Some B vitamins, especially riboflavin, can temporarily make urine appear much brighter as the body eliminates what it does not use. This is generally expected.

Foods, medications, supplements, and certain health conditions can also affect urine color. Persistent red, brown, cloudy, or unusually dark urine, especially when accompanied by pain, fever, dizziness, or decreased urination, should be discussed with your primary healthcare provider.

Your body gives you clues. Pay attention, hydrate consistently, and remember that IV hydration can support your wellness when appropriate, but it does not replace regular daily fluid intake.๐Ÿ

Certain medications can affect how your body absorbs, uses, or stores certain vitamins and minerals, sometimes more than people realize. This does not mean your medication is bad or that you should stop taking it. It simply means your body may need a little extra nutrition support depending on your health history, diet, and overall needs.

Examples people do not always think about include birth control pills, antibiotics, acid reducers, metformin, and diuretics. Over time, these can play a role in nutrient balance, which is one reason preventative wellness matters.

Paying attention to hydration, nutrition, sleep, and how you are feeling is so important!๐Ÿ

The Nectar Nest was created from years spent caring for people after their health had already become a crisis. As nurses, we wanted to build a space that also supports the everyday side of wellness through education, consistency, and proactive care.

For us, this has always been about more than IVs and injections. It is about listening, helping people better understand their bodies, and creating a comfortable place where our community can slow down and make their health a priority.

We are incredibly grateful for every person who walks through our doors and trusts us to be a small part of their wellness journey. This is the heart behind the Nectar Nest. ๐ŸคŽ๐Ÿ

Water and electrolytes both play an important role in hydration, but they are not the same thing. ๐Ÿ’ง

Water helps replace the fluid your body loses throughout the day. Electrolytes are minerals such as sodium, potassium, and magnesium that help regulate fluid balance, support normal muscle and nerve function, and help your body use and retain fluids appropriately.

For everyday hydration, water is often all you need. Electrolytes may be especially helpful when you are losing more fluid than usual through sweating, exercise, heat, travel, vomiting, diarrhea, or illness.

It is also important to remember that more is not always better. Everyoneโ€™s needs are different, and symptoms like fatigue, headaches, dizziness, or muscle cramps can have many possible causes.

The easiest way to think about it: water replaces fluid, while electrolytes help keep that fluid balanced and support important functions throughout the body.๐Ÿ
