Tuesday morning update.

Mom is stable, still in ICU and currently on 12+ hours of dialysis. They are thinking this will be two to three days. Poor thing. She's fighting hard and unfortunately she's alone right now, physically.

Dad is banged up from his fall yesterday but we all agreed to have him home was the best.

Keep up with the good thoughts and prayers if you are sending them. She needs them all.

Monday morning update.

Mom is still in ICU struggling to breathe.

Dad took a tumble trying to help her and fell hitting his head. He's now in the ER.

This family needs tons of strength to get through please. It's unfortunate that us three kids are not retired so we can help better.

If anyone can assist in sitting with Mom, even for a couple of hours please let me know.

Saturday update:

Still in ICU MUSC Health in Charleston.

Dad is trying to rest bedside. Poor guy. He worries me too.

Mom currently had another leak from the transplant and will undergo surgery now or soon.

She's also going to have dialysis tonight or tomorrow morning.

She's scared and worn out. Please continue to lift her up.

Update on Mom. Teresa Partain Mathews Ron Mathews

She's still in ICU and stable. She's receiving a blood transfusion since her hemoglobin is low. They are continuing to run labs and monitor.

Pray for her and Dad. He's trying to sleep on those horrible recliners in ICU, so we know he's not resting. I unfortunately could not make it down due to a health issue myself or I would have them both tended to. (I'm a tad bossy when it comes to them) Just ask my Dad 😁😂💗

Thank you for all the messages and prayers of support to them. I'm hoping this rollercoaster lets them off soon so they can enjoy their golden years.

Mom has pneumonia and is in critical condition. They moved her to ICU in Charleston a few hours ago.

This is definitely not what we wanted to hear. Please give her good thoughts for strength to fight this.

***small update***

She's being admitted at Lex Med. Hoping they can get her back to healing. I'll post as I know.

Pray for Mom.

I just called 911. She's headed to the ER.

Update on Mom's visit to Charleston yesterday.

The procedure went well and they found a node that needed repair. This could be the reason for the fluid buildup. We are hoping that is the solution.

Speaking of fluid...NINE liters drained off of her! 😳

She's resting at home now and a tad sore but is in better spirits.

Prayer warriors and angels on Earth.....

Apologies for not posting lately but Mom has not been doing well for a bit. She has limited energy and mostly stays in the bed. Fluid buildup in her abdomen and legs is her current battle due to a surgical error during the transplant.

I ask today, as Mom and Dad head to Charleston for a procedure this morning, for prayers. She will be placed under general anesthesia while the team tries to locate the issue and hopefully fix it.

Please send up those good thoughts and prayers during this time and while they travel.

I'll post an update as I receive it.

Happy Morning to you al!

Just a quick little update on Mom.

She is continuing to heal and is doing so much better! It is like night and day, we are hoping she is out of the storm for good. (fingers crossed)

She continues to make great strides; she is walking around the house more and finally was able to stand in the shower. We celebrate all the small things as they amount to so much

Glad to have my Mom still here fighting the fight. She's doing so much better.

I wanted to save this until today in celebration of Mom. She was released from her Doctor on the transplant team at MUSC! No more trips to Charleston for a while we pray.

Superwoman as I've always said.

We hope everyone enjoys their Mother's Day.
