This latest painting was the inspiration for my latest poem.
THE DANCER
The flamenco music starts.
It fills all open hearts.
Her body softly starts to sway.
She moves in a sensuous way.
She sees through dancer’s eyes.
Her footsteps are no surprise.
She glides across the dance floor.
The audience is begging for more.
Red lips,
Luscious hips.
Flamenco dancer on display.
Her curves stop at nothing in the way.
She knows her worth,
Instilled at birth.
All eyes are focused on her today.
This is the art of seduction and play.
