Zeke is starting his third week at Spero tomorrow! For the past three evenings Zeke has requested to go for a walk around the neighborhood! We walked for 15 minutes each night! This is great progress for Zeke as he has not been able to do this for over a year!

On the flip side, and keeping it real, today was an emotionally difficult day for Zeke. He just broke down crying at one point, saying he wanted to go home. We love that we are here and we know it's where we're supposed to be, but that doesn't make it easy.

And to end on a more positive note, Zeke and I are both excited to see Matt and Kate when they fly out on Thursday! They will be staying for 10 days!

Day 3 at Spero! Zeke is doing well with therapies at Spero. He has a great attitude and everyone is impressed with the effort he is putting in. This was a crazy moment in therapy today :) We are not allowed to take pictures during therapy sessions because of proprietary procedures, but they let me have this one :)

I had a moment of panic today. Zeke lost a screw from his wheelchair arm. My mind was reeling with what it would take to find a replacement screw, buying hex wrenches (because why in the world would I have packed THOSE), etc. Then I remembered, I had seen a random screw laying in the parking lot. Yup, that was it! AND the therapist who was treating Zeke at that moment also just happened to have a whole hex set! Got the wheelchair back to 100% within 15 minutes without any trips to the store or money spent! God is taking care of us :)
