So at this time they have decided to defer my case until further testing ECT occurs with my transplant team in Cleveland as well as my Rheumatologist. They said due to the information they have looked over that it is suggestive to be the autoimmune causing the heart symptoms because the heart catheter done was not bad. I now have to see my cardio team Sept 13th and my rheumatologist and see what needs to be done, what meds need adjusted ECT. But Glory be to God it is happening this way because a transplant is a GINORMUS lifestyle change, rejection at any moment, not surviving the surgery I mean there is a boatload of negatives and positives. So letting God take this course for me.
In a nutshell if they transplanted me and it is autoimmune then I went through all of that for??? Glad we don't have to make another trip to TN for a good 5-6 months as of right now.

Meet Lora.

At 53 years old, Lora is a heart transplant recipient whose strength and determination inspire everyone around her. Her journey has included countless challenges, immunosuppressant therapy, and more hurdles than most people could imagine, yet she continues to face each day with gratitude, humor, and a heart full of love.

When she’s not fighting life’s battles, you’ll find her enjoying the simple things that bring her joy. She loves chunky hand knitting, binge-watching her favorite Netflix series, and taking leisurely strolls through vendor events. She never passes up an opportunity to stop and pet a dog, and she has a special love for Highland cows and sea turtles.

Above all else, Lora treasures time with her three granddaughters, ages 4, 6, and 9, who bring endless happiness to her life. She also enjoys riding her Can-Am, making memories with family and friends, and treating herself to her favorite foods—crab legs and fresh fruit.

Lora’s story is one of resilience, courage, and finding joy in everyday moments. Through every challenge, she continues to remind those around her that life is meant to be lived, loved, and appreciated.
