A marvellous time was had at Fuji to Hood helping erika harada vend her lovely wares 🗻✨ Isn’t the artwork they did for the event simply gorgeous?

Some special one-of-a-kind Kintsugi soaps were available for the occasion as well — and all found homes 🙏 Many thanks for all the interest and enthusiasm!

And of course, cheers to Wacom for being such jovial and fun neighbours at this festival ✨🖊️

Now it’s time for Wisp to rest up after a full day of taiko drum and shamisen performances, delicious treats, incredible cocktails, sumo matches, martial arts demos, and all manner of vibrant cultural art ⛩️ See you again soon, Oregon!

The Apothecary will be wandering with Troupe Seven Stars at Canterbury Renaissance Faire next, hosting a hidden tea garden amidst the revellery 🎪 Hope to see you there! As always, safe travels and fair fortunes 🎐

「 You enter the Ash Bertocci booth at Washington Midsummer Ren Faire to peruse their wide selection of whimsical wares, and encounter a cryptic couple — it seems The Lavender Knight is out escorting the serene Wisp on a walk to visit friends!
Will you accept their Quest to find little guys (of any description) amongst the vendors of Merriwick? 」

Wisp will be with the Wyldewood Fae offering a Little Guy Scavenger Hunt on the 4th & 5th weekends of faire ✨ The Lavender Knight, however, will be at the Queen’s side every weekend except the 2nd!

🌞 Cascadian Midsummer 2026 🌓

So much a humble wanderer could say of this festival, yet with difficulty in words. It is a welcome home every year — a deep exhale. Scarcely do safer places exist.

Every year, the tension within eases a bit more from what healing happens here — what would otherwise take months occurs in the span of a weekend. Hope sparks in the flames of the bonfire that burned there, and with renewed warmth is carried beyond its ephemeral life in the hearts of all those who shared time beside it.

Thank you to all who chose to spend time beneath the willow with Wisp and erika harada — places of rest are crucial in any community, and the society we reside in is woefully lacking in its philosophy of— and spaces for— rest. We hope you were able to centre something kind within— and toward— yourself as you sipped tea, watercoloured, napped, played music, and/or enjoyed the company of those beside you 🎐

Particularly grateful for The Lavender Knight and Steffanie Gray — it was a pleasure and an honour to witness your first time at the festival 💛

With unrefined butters and cold-pressed oils as their carrier, the Wandering Apothecary combines physical and psychological catalysts to create a deeper kind of restoration.

「 Across the lane at the , you espy a curious creature — you cannot discern what or who they are looking at, or if they seem to have a destination. They seem to simply be enjoying the sights on a casual meander through the merchant rows.

As they pass and you catch a glimpse of their seori bako (back-carried box), you see they are taking some little guys from and for a tour of the faire!

Will you muster your courage and approach the cryptic clothling for a special little guy quest? 」

Fare thee well, fine merfolk of the Westmost Port! 🪸✨

The Mermaid Festival was a joyous experience — thank you to all who attended and brought your most whimsical energy with you 💫

To our utmost delight, all Mushi candles found homes, and a jolly-faced merman claimed ’s prized chainmaille neckpiece 🔗

Thus does the Apothecary wander on, sustained by new friendships forged and the allure of future adventures 🎐 See you out there, fine wanderfolk!

It is with a heavy heart that the Apothecary must once more raise its prices to account for the climbing cost of materials 💔

Those wares that have the highest volume of Shea butter - which are the salves, balms and deodorants - will cost a couple of doll-hairs more, for though the price of everything is going up, the price of the Shea butter the Apothecary sources from a small women's collective in Ghana has more than doubled in the past few months.

Deepest apologies to you all, dear patrons, who don't deserve the burden of this nonsense - and thank you, sincerely, for continuing to support the Apothecary as its sole proprietor continues to do their utmost to provide custom, quality skincare for the whimsical that cuts no corners ❤️‍🩹

Though chilly, the first weekend of the Mermaid Festival was warmed by activity from the magnificent aerialist, fire and belly-dancer performances throughout the day — not to mention a constant whirlwind of bubbles, wafting up to catch at whatever stray beams poked through the clouds ⛅️
Thank you to all who stopped by — especially those wee ones who were brave enough to approach the dragons 🏅

Now we rest, recoup, and craft those custom orders sent to the Wandering Post — for you folk, look for a mysterious parcel in your mailbox in the coming week!
We will be back at the next weekend 🎪
