Urgency keeps the body in constant motion - always anticipating, rushing, bracing, overextending. Even in stillness, the nervous system can feel like it’s sprinting.

Regulation is different.
It creates enough safety in the body to pause, breathe, soften, and actually feel present in your own life.

Not every movement practice needs to leave you depleted.
Sometimes the most transformative thing you can do is slow down enough to hear yourself again. 🌿

Hands up or heads down, the purpose was always community.

There will be no classes until Sunday while we’re away for our Edisto retreat.

This time is being spent slowing down, reconnecting, resting, and moving in community by the water ✨

If you’ve been curious about joining us for a future retreat, this is your sign to explore them. Retreats offer space to step away from routine and return to yourself a little more fully. Go to bethcosi.com/retreats

Classes resume Sunday 10:15am🤍

What does “gripping” mean in yoga?

Gripping is over-engaging.
Holding. Clenching. Bracing.

It’s the body trying to create safety through tension.

You might notice it in:
— your jaw
— your shoulders
— your hips
— your hands
— your breath

Yoga isn’t about forcing the pose.
It’s about learning where you can soften while still feeling supported.

Each Thursday this month in honor of our birthday we’re throwing it back to a special memory:

Before Dwell had walls, it started with Bendy Brewski - bringing people together through yoga, beer, and community. What began as a simple idea slowly became the roots of the space we know and love today 🤍

Were you part of the Bendy Brewski days? We’d love to hear your memories 🍻

Nothing here is about achieving a shape. It’s about what opens inside you while you’re in it…

The quiet widening of space. The gentle undoing of effort. The feeling of coming back into contact with yourself again and again. 🤍

Almost one year in ..

It’s wild to look back and feel how much has unfolded in such a short time.

What started as an idea, really just a feeling of what a space could be, has grown into something living, breathing, and shaped every day by the people who walk through the door.

There have been moments of figuring it out as we go, moments of deep clarity, moments of stretching, learning, and rebuilding. And through all of it, Dwell has become more than a space - it’s become a practice in itself.

A practice of showing up. Of holding intention even when things feel uncertain. Of trusting that community and care will shape something far more meaningful than perfection ever could.

Nearly a year in, and it still feels like we’re just getting started 🤍
