I started making soaps when my very sensitive husband could no longer use regular store soap (and B&BW stopped carrying their glycerin soaps!). My soaps are made to be as natural and allergen-free as possible, though substitutions are made when the natural version won't survive the soap-making process. Essentially, saponification (soap-making) is an acid-base reaction, with a strong base, lye, and

the fatty acids in the oils and fats. Not all natural essential oils or simple dyes will "survive" the high pH of the lye or the heat produced by the reaction. If you would prefer color-free or scent-free, that can be arranged. ;)

This is true for anything under 2 pounds now. So one set that used to cost $5-ish to ship now costs $7-ish. And the 2 sets and up that would cost $10+ to ship are now costing $5-7.

I might be shipping you all rocks. We might even go collect them from the yard. Brad is brilliant.
