One theme that's been coming up in both my business and my personal life lately is this idea of trust.
Can I trust myself?
It took me a long time to deal with this idea of trust. How do I trust myself when I keep ending up in really bad situations? How do I trust myself when I feel like I keep making mistakes?
It's really hard to trust yourself when you're constantly judging yourself.
There's so much pressure that we put on ourselves on a regular basis to have the answers, to make the right decisions, to get it right.
To be able to stop and say, "Wait. Let me slow down. Let me listen to myself. Let me hear what my soul is telling me, what my energy body is telling me, what I need." And then to listen without having to fix it or make it better.
Sometimes the things that we need aren't necessarily the things that we want.
When I was trying to build my business, I wanted my business to grow very, very quickly. I wanted people to understand what I did. I wanted to see that all of the work I was putting in was paying off.
But the trust piece came when I needed to keep posting about what I do and keep explaining what I do, even though it wasn't bearing any fruit.
Because what I eventually realized was that I wasn't building the fruit.
I was building the roots.
In order for a tree to bear fruit, it first has to build a strong root system. It needs a foundation that can support what's coming. Looking back, all of the things that felt blind at the time were actually creating that foundation.
It wasn't just about getting clients. It was about creating something people could genuinely trust because it was built on a strong, grounded foundation. And before other people could trust what I was creating, I had to trust myself enough to keep creating it.
Is it difficult to keep creating when you don't see immediate gratification? Absolutely. Especially in a world where everything is built around immediate results.
But this idea of trusting yourself has to come first.
I worked on trusting myself so deeply that even when I couldn't see the results of what I was doing, I knew I was on the right path. I knew I was creating something bigger, deeper, and stronger.
Because here's the question I had to ask myself.
Do I want to build something without roots, where maybe I get clients and maybe I help people, but it's short-term? Or do I want to take the time and energy to build something stronger, deeper, and more foundational that will support people for years to come?
For me, the answer has always been the second one.
If you're finding it difficult to trust yourself, if you're finding it difficult to trust the process, there may be old experiences, beliefs, or protective patterns that have made it hard to hear your own inner knowing.
That's the work I love to do—helping people reconnect with that part of themselves so they can move through life with greater trust, clarity, and confidence.
