Robotic-assisted gait training is one of the most powerful tools in neurological recovery, and it's central to what we do at Boston Brain Center.
The Lokomat uses a robotic exoskeleton to guide patients through precise, repeatable walking patterns on a treadmill. This consistent, supported movement helps retrain the brain and nervous system to rebuild walking ability after stroke, brain injury, or neurodegenerative conditions.
For our patients, it means earlier mobilization, more intensive therapy sessions, and measurable progress toward independence. For us, it's another way we bring hospital-level technology into a setting where every patient is treated as an individual, not a number.
This is what innovation looks like when it's paired with compassion.
