You watch someone you trusted repeat your exact words back to the people you never wanted hearing them.

That’s the day you stop confusing “professional” with “safe.”

Not because you got cold. Because you got aware.

Things worth keeping to yourself:
• your next move
• your frustrations with leadership
• your salary goals
• your exit strategy
• your deeper fears
• every opinion you have in the moment

Once you understand workplace dynamics, you stop calling everything “just business.”

Sometimes it’s insecurity.
Sometimes it’s politics.
Sometimes it’s ego wearing a blazer.

The lesson that changes everything:

Not everyone deserves access to your inner world while you’re still building your next chapter.

Discernment isn’t distance. It’s protection.
