đŸ’„ MEDICAL TRUTH BOMB đŸ’„

Your chronic illness diagnosis is a waving red flag đŸš© not a life sentence.

That medication you refill every month may help manage symptoms, but if the root cause isn’t addressed, true healing can be hard to find.

As a fitness competitor, health coach, and nutrition specialist who’s battled multiple chronic illnesses myself, I’ve learned that the body doesn’t just randomly break down. Cellular inflammation, toxic burden, gut dysfunction, chronic stress, nutrient deficiencies, mitochondrial dysfunction, and impaired detoxification pathways can all contribute to dis-ease in the body.

I’ve walked this path myself, and it’s exactly why I’m so passionate about helping people heal from the inside out. 💚

Don’t settle for a diagnosis. Ask deeper questions. Address the root causes. Support your body’s incredible ability to restore balance and function.

You deserve to become the healthiest, happiest version of yourself. đŸŒ±âœš

If you’re one of those people who’s ALWAYS hungry
good news 😂 You could eat 10 cups of jicama and it would only be about 490 calories đŸ€Ż PLUS you’d get around 60 grams of fiber đŸŒ± Be careful đŸ’©

Crunchy. Sweet. Gut-friendly. Blood sugar-friendly. Basically the emotional support snack of the produce aisle đŸ€

Working out is not meant to feel like punishment it is a celebration of your energy your body and the life flowing through you ✹ When you surround yourself with people who lift you up who laugh with you who push you and support you everything changes. Fitness becomes connection it becomes joy it becomes something your soul actually craves đŸ€

There is something powerful about shared energy in a workout the smiles the struggle the wins the growth all happening together. That frequency is contagious and it elevates everyone in the room. You are not just building muscle you are building friendships confidence and a stronger connection to yourself đŸ”„

Make it fun make it light make it something you look forward to. The more joy you bring into your movement the more your body responds. This is your reminder that fitness should feel alive it should feel freeing and it should feel like you đŸ’«

Building a strong, sculpted body isn’t just about the workout
 it’s what you do AFTER.

50% training.
50% recovery.

If you’re not recovering, you’re not progressing.

After I train, I focus on three things:
‱ Reducing inflammation (think red light, recovery tools)
‱ Refueling with real, whole foods: protein + carbs within 30–60 minutes
‱ Calming my nervous system so my body can actually rebuild

This is how you get results that LAST.

Hip thrusts are not about how low you go they’re about how high you can lift and how strong you can squeeze at the top.

Elevating your upper back on a BOSU ball allows for a greater range of hip extension, which means a deeper glute activation and a more powerful contraction at the top. When you turn your toes slightly outward, you can also recruit more of the upper glute fibers, creating better overall engagement and shape.

The real secret is not depth
it’s height, control, and time under tension. Hold that squeeze. Own the top!! make is your
well you know. That’s where the transformation happens.

This is Krissy demonstrating her hip thrust exactly this way: focused, strong, and intentional while wearing her knee brace to protect and support her knee. Modifications don’t limit progress; they extend longevity and keep you training smart.

Strength isn’t just about intensity. It’s about awareness, precision, and consistency.

Train with purpose!!

I watched my friend Natalie 💜 lift the entire stack
and in that moment, something shifted in me.

I thought, I can do that too.

She looked at me and said, “Hell yeah you can.”
Alex right there beside her, cheering me on. No doubt. No hesitation. Just belief.

And here’s the truth
 I’m not there yet.
I tried. I failed. And I’m proud of that.

Because I didn’t quit.

I’ve never quit on myself. Not when doctors told me to slow down.
Not when they said, “Take the medication. Rest your body.”
Not when they warned me, “Don’t lift weights you have a muscle-wasting disorder.”
Not when they told me a bodybuilding show would be “too much” for me.

Blah blah blah bu****it blah!

They didn’t see what my people see. They didn’t understand what I know deep in my core:

My mind is stronger than my body.
And so is yours.

This isn’t just about lifting weights.
This is about lifting your belief system.
This is about who you surround yourself with.
This is about choosing voices that say “you can” instead of “you shouldn’t.”

Because mindset is where everything starts.
Before the strength. Before the progress. Before the results.

You don’t need to be perfect.
You don’t need to be ready.
You just need to believe and keep showing up!

Even when you fail. Especially then.

Sharing my friend Krissy’s story because it’s such a great example of how we can still train hard while being smart with the body đŸ€

Krissy has been dealing with knee inflammation, so instead of avoiding lower body work, we simply adjust the way we move so she can still build strength without irritating her knee.

One of our go-to exercises is hip thrusts, with her feet placed on a BOSU ball.

Here’s why this works so well:

Hip thrusts focus mostly on the glutes and hips, not the knees. So instead of putting pressure through the knee joint, we’re shifting the work into the muscles we actually want to grow and strengthen.

The BOSU ball adds a bit of instability, which helps her glutes and core work a little harder to keep her balanced. It also naturally encourages her body to rely less on the knees and more on her hips for control.

We’re strengthening her glutes
while taking unnecessary stress off her knees.

This is your reminder that pain doesn’t always mean stop it often just means modify and keep going smarter. đŸ’Ș✹
