BlueLine Support Access to BlueLine Support™ is through a 24 hour hotline [(855) 964-2583] which connects the calling officer with a trained peer support officer.

BlueLine Support™ is a peer support officer program with a network of Mental Health Professionals, providing intervention, prevention, resiliency, and self-care services for law enforcement officers regardless of status. The peer support officer will explore the officer’s issues to determine the appropriateness of a referral to one of our network of Professionals. Many times simply speaking to a p

eer support officer gives the officer the necessary perspective and relief needed to address the issues without the need for a referral. For those times in which a referral is needed, the peer support officer will provide a referral to the officer based upon their geographical location, insurance provider, and presenting issue. Officer’s insurance providers are billed by the MHP so that HIPPA laws apply thus assuring 100% confidentiality is afforded and maintained. The MHPs utilized by BlueLine Support are carefully selected to include only those who have demonstrated an understanding in police culture and what an officer experiences daily. Most often this is achieved by the MHP having dealt previously with law enforcement officers in their private practices, having LEO family members, or were LEOs themselves. Each MHP is also trained by BlueLine Support prior to any officer being referred to them.

Minnesota State Patrol Lieutenant Tyler Uthe spent 13 years serving others. For 13 years, he answered calls that most people hope they never have to make. He ran toward crisis, tragedy, and danger while helping complete strangers through some of the worst moments of their lives. He wore the badge with honor, carried the responsibility of leadership, and dedicated his life to protecting his community.

But on June 3, 2026, Lieutenant Tyler Uthe died by su***de at just 37 years old.

Thirty-seven years old. A husband. A father. A son. A friend. A leader. A trooper. Another hero who spent his life protecting others but was ultimately overcome by a battle that too few people could see.

This is the reality of law enforcement that society rarely talks about. Officers are expected to witness death, violence, tragedy, and human suffering day after day. They are expected to comfort families after fatal crashes, respond to su***des, investigate horrific crimes, and carry images and memories that never truly leave them. Then they are expected to go home, smile, and pretend they are okay.

Too often, they don’t ask for help because of the stigma. The fear that they will be viewed as weak. The fear that speaking up could damage their career. The fear that asking for help could cost them their badge, their reputation, or the respect of those around them. So they suffer quietly. They bury the pain. They convince themselves they can carry it alone until one day the weight becomes too much.

The truth is that behind every badge is a human being. Behind every uniform is a heart that hurts, a mind that struggles, and a soul that can become exhausted from years of carrying trauma. Law enforcement officers are trained to save others, but far too often they don’t know how to save themselves.

Today, we honor Lieutenant Tyler Uthe. We pray for his family, his friends, his fellow troopers, and every person whose life was touched by his service. We mourn not only the loss of a dedicated law enforcement officer, but the loss of a man who mattered deeply to so many people.

If this story breaks your heart, don’t just scroll past it. Share it. Start a conversation. Check on the officers in your life. Ask the hard questions. Let them know it is okay to not be okay. Let them know asking for help is not weakness it is courage.

And if you are a first responder, law enforcement officer, firefighter, dispatcher, veteran, or family member who is struggling, please hear this: you are not alone. Your life is worth more than your title, your badge, your rank, or your career. There is hope, and there is healing.

Reach out today. Visit www.healingthehero.org and click the blue “Heal Here” button. Our team is ready to walk alongside you because no hero should ever have to fight their darkest battle alone. One conversation can save a life. One phone call can change a future. And one act of courage can be the beginning of healing.

This saddens us to read about the police chief! No one is safe from mental health challenges; it can get pretty lonely at the top.

We at blueline are here if you need to talk. Alot of times administration feels they have no one to talk to. We have learned often they feel as talking shows a sign of weakness or inferiority.

Mental illness doesnt care about rank structure. Please keep one another safe!

We are only a phone call away- rank doesnt matter! YOU ARE NEVER ALONE!

Celebrate the life of Dennis Dixon and join others in sharing memories, stories, and condolences.

The LELS Board of Directors and Staff extend our deepest condolences as we mourn the tragic loss of Lieutenant Tyler Uthe of the Minnesota State Patrol.

Today, we join the public safety community across Minnesota and beyond in grieving the loss of a dedicated public servant, leader, colleague, and friend. Lieutenant Uthe devoted his life to serving and protecting others, and his passing leaves a void that will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing and working alongside him.

Our hearts are with Tyler's family, loved ones, fellow troopers, and the entire Minnesota State Patrol family during this incredibly difficult time. We also extend our support and prayers to the broader law enforcement community as we collectively mourn this tragic loss.

The challenges faced by those who serve are often unseen, and moments like this remind us of the importance of standing together, supporting one another, and ensuring that no one carries their burdens alone.

Please keep Lieutenant Uthe's family and all those affected by his passing in your thoughts and prayers in the days and weeks ahead.

Rest easy, Lieutenant Uthe. Your service, sacrifice, and commitment to others will never be forgotten.

Corporal Daniels devoted his life to serving the people of Missouri and the law enforcement profession. Throughout his career with the Patrol, he served in multiple assignments including Troop C, Troop A, recruiting, and most recently the Missouri State Highway Patrol Academy, where he helped shape and mentor future troopers entering the profession. His impact reached far beyond a uniform or title — it lived in the people he encouraged, trained, and stood beside every day.

This week, the law enforcement community was shaken by the heartbreaking loss of Corporal Daniels.

Moments like this remind us of something that is often forgotten behind the badge: first responders are human. The men and women who answer calls, work crashes, handle violence, comfort victims, and carry the weight of unimaginable situations are still people beneath the uniform. Many continue showing up every shift while quietly battling stress, trauma, exhaustion, and pain that others may never see.

Too often, those struggles stay hidden behind a smile, a joke, or the reputation of being “the strong one.”

Please keep Corporal Daniels’ wife, children, family, friends, academy recruits, fellow troopers, and the entire Missouri State Highway Patrol family in your thoughts during this incredibly difficult time.

And to every first responder reading this: check on your people. Have the uncomfortable conversations. Reach out even when you think someone seems okay. You never truly know what weight another person is carrying.

If you are struggling, you are not alone. Reach out. Make the call. Talk to someone.

While we at Shift Survival are not mental health professionals, we are a group that cares. Our inbox is always open to listen, help connect you with resources, or point you toward people who can help. Sometimes the hardest step is simply telling someone you’re not okay.

You matter more than you know.

Rest easy, Corporal Daniels. Your service, leadership, and impact will not be forgotten. 🖤💙
